Following activity from the proposers and their requests of Wirral Borough Council,
It is now time for our initial action, if not already done.

The parties involved, i.e. the Landowner and CHINT Solar (the Chinese owned company), in this most serious and destructive proposal, have lodged a request with the council to comment upon the scope of the required EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment). The Request is referenced SCO/25/01850 and full details can be seen on the Council's normal Planning Website/Portal by using the highlighted reference.

This is NOT a Planning Application but seeks to clarify the nature of the
EIA required as part of any Planning Application (which is anticipated during 2026).

What is needed at THIS STAGE is a comment on where “Chint Solar's” proposed EIA is deficient in the categories of Impacts to be assessed either by exclusion or reduced extent.

Therefore please read
Objection to Solar Farm (PDF Version)
Objection to Solar farm (WORD Version)
and, if you agree, send to the relevant council officials. The addresses are at the top of the document.

The first part of the document contains the email or mail template that you can either
complete or copy and paste into an email. Just insert your details into the applicable sections.

What is NOT REQUIRED at THIS STAGE are detailed Objections to the proposal for a Solar Farm to be constructed on this beautiful and sensitive Green Belt farmland. If a Planning Application does come forward, that is the time to provide your opinion(s) and detailed Objection would be required.

There is now a “dedicated group concentrating on this issue".  In a short period, this dedicated group, which apart from a small number of enthusiastic and active local residents, includes and liaises with some Members of the WGSA Steering Group as well as ITPAS and many other experts and organisations. They have researched the matter and extracted material for the attached document, issued a Petition which in a few days has attracted over 2,000 signatories, and informed and assisted others to act.  This new Group is the latest to be affiliated to WGSA and is to be known as WGSA - Thurstaston Group

We have been most impressed with their enthusiasm and actions to date and
look forward to working with them as and when required in 2026.

We have attempted to make the actions requested of the WGSA Groups, their
Members and the wider public as simple and quick, and yet effective, as possible.

Protect our Green Belt, act before
3rd January 2026.

Solar Farm Green Belt Destruction -
